Local Hand-carved Wooden Cat Statue

Description

This local tropical island wood cat sculpture is handmade by Jolly who is a hardworking craftsman in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

He creates spectacular works of art using all natural materials such as bamboo, coconut, calabash, and shells.

Dominican-born Sylvester Jolly makes artistic expressions of animals, salt & pepper shakers, bird feeders, purses, bracelets, and more.

As you can see on the cat, he finishes his creations with hand etching  V. I. (Virgin Islands) on every piece.
